Hi, I’m Gary Gandy!
I am a local from Sneads Ferry, NC, where we still live. Through the years, I have worked as a commercial fisherman, mechanical contractor, and civil service at Camp Lejeune. I spent six years in Louisiana and, for the three years before I came to Queens Creek United Methodist Church, I served as pastor at Haw Branch United Methodist Church in Richlands, NC. I have served with Kairos Prison Ministry, Emmaus Walks, nursing home and beach ministries.
My wife, Thud (that’s the sound her hand makes on the back of my head), and I are both cancer survivors. In addition to cancer, Thud also has MS and there are times that she cannot walk and uses her electric wheelchair. Thud is a Lay Minister and, along with preaching occasionally, is my right arm and we serve as a team. She has served with mission teams for Zoe Ministries in Africa and in the mountains of Jamaica.
We have five children, two still at home, and six grandchildren. Our second to youngest is both physically and mentally challenged.
Thud and I look forward to serving you.
May God bless!
